1

Athens-Killini

Arrival at Athens airport and drive to Killini, a town at the Peloponnese peninsula. You will visit the famous medieval castle of Chlemoutsi, built by the Crusaders rulers over a hill top and has magnificent view of the Ionian Sea as well as of the islands of Zante and Kefalonia. Along with your professional guide you will learn the history of the castle and the place in general. In the afternoon, you will have free time to relax and enjoy the city.

Bassae-Olympia

After your breakfast you will visit the temple of Apollo Epicurious in Bassae, which was built in limestone from the local quarries. It is nominated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as it combines three architecture styles Doric, Ionian and Corinthian. Continue to visit Ancient Olympia where the original Olympic Games were first held in the 8th century BC. Olympia has great variety of exhibits of unique artifacts, statues that reflect Greece’s history, while its archeological site and museum worth visiting. Return back to your hotel in Killini for free time.

Zante Day Cruise

Today you will enjoy a private boat cruise to Zante (Zakynthos) and have the amazing experience of swimming next to the protected species of Caretta Caretta sea turtles. You will visit the famous Shipwreck beach surrounded by colossal white limestone cliffs on one side, and crystal clear blue waters on the other, making it accessible only by boat. You will explore the green and blue waters and have your lunch on board. Sailing back to Killini you will enjoy the sunset before return to the hotel.

Killini-Pylos

After breakfast, drive to the wonderful picturesque city of Pylos, a south point of Peloponnese where you will have a short walk at the in-house spa and beauty center of the hotel. You will have your personal treatment by professionals, an amazing experience that will nourish and balance your body and soul. Olive oil, local herbs and honey will revitalize your whole being and offer you the ultimate refreshment. Then you will have free time to enjoy this unique sea side place.

Pylos Castle

Next stop of the tour is the famous Pylos Castle, built in the 16th century, during the Ottoman empire. The Castle was highly equipped, intending to fully exploit the cannons, while simultaneously ensuring the greatest possible protection of the inner settlement. Walk around the picturesque stone walls of the Castle, visit the museum and admire the amazing sea view that offers. Back to the hotel for leisure time.

Paleokastro-Nestor Cave

After breakfast, you will drive to the famous Paleokastro (The Old Castle), a medieval castle of the 13th century built by the Franks. It is located atop an imposing rock formation, the mythical cave of Nestor, guarding the beach of Voidokilia and offers a unique view of Pylos, but also of the entire beaches of Gialova and Navarino Bay. Continue to the amazing Gialova Lagoon, famous for hosting plenty of bird species, such as herons, kestrels, Aegean seagulls, flamingos, ospreys, imperial eagles and other aquatic birds. You will have the chance to admire different kinds of animals depending on the season. Return back to the hotel for free and leisure time.

Monemvasia

Today we head towards Monemvasia, which is one of the most well-preserved medieval cities of Greece. A fortress wall is spread around the beautiful castle. You can walk around the narrow alleys of the town, getting acquainted with the glory of the Byzantines, the Venetians and the Ottomans, that left their mark on the city. You can taste fresh local products in one of the shops, admire the beautiful architecture while you haze at the endless blue of the breathtaking view. Free afternoon to enjoy Monemvasia.

Mystras-Nafplio

Today you will have a wonderful tour to Mystras, the city-castle built in the 13th century on the foothill of Taygetos Mountain that maintains a historical wealth of archaeological treasures. It was the center of the Byzantine power and reflects the architecture of that era. We will see many Byzantine churches with the beautiful painted floors and frescoes, as well as many old traditional manor houses. The view from up the hill is amazing to admire the picturesque landscape. We’ll continue to the town of Nafplio for overnight.

Nafplio

You will spend your day in the most romantic seaside cities in Greece, Nafplio. This city is kept as it was in most places, the Sintagma Square, the Three Admiral Square, the Greatest Road and the fortress, Palamidi, which dominates the city and almost floats on a steep hill. The nature and beauty of this part of Peloponnese is unique and the experience of exploring it unforgettable. You will have free afternoon to enjoy the long seaside area full of shops and taverns.

Today is the time to say goodbye to Greece holding your great memories. Drive to the Athens airport for your departure flight back home.
