Bethany Beyond the Jordan was an extraordinary experience.  Evidence begins to multiply confirming the belief that this indeed was where the Children of Israel crossed the Jordan to into the Promised Land; Elijah was taken up, dropping his mantel on Elisha; and John the Baptist baptized Jesus.  As we walked the earth - one could only wonder what we were walking on...would it soon be a major discovery?  In 10 years, after the site develops, there will be many visitors to this site...but THIS time, we were the fortunate few who had the privilege! - K.
