Deuteronomy 12:13-14
“Be careful that
you do not offer your burnt offerings in every cultic place you see, but
in the place which the LORD chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall
offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.”
1 Kings 8:41-43
“Also concerning the foreigner who is not of Your people
Israel, when he comes from a far country for Your name’s sake (for
they will hear of Your great name and Your mighty hand, and of Your outstretched
arm); when he comes and prays toward this house, hear in heaven
Your dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to
You, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear
You, as do Your people Israel, and that they may know that this house
which I have built is called by Your name.”
Mark 13:1-2
As He was going
out of the temple, one of His disciples said to Him, “Teacher, behold what
wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!” And Jesus said to
him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another
which will not be torn down.”
Genesis 12:3
“And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who
curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Exodus 19:5-6
“‘Now then, if you
will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own
possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and
you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words
that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”
Genesis 22:11-14
But the angel of
the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said,
“Here I am.” He said, “Do not stretch out your hand against the
lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have
not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” Then
Abraham raised his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him a ram caught
in the thicket by his horns; and Abraham went and took the ram and offered him
up for a burnt offering in the place of his son. Abraham called
the name of that place The LORD Will Provide, as it is
said to this day, “In the mount of the LORD it will be provided.”
2 Samuel 24:24
However, the
king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it
from you for a price, for I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God
which cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for
fifty shekels of silver.
Luke 19:45-46
Jesus entered
the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, saying
to them, “It is written, ‘And My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you
have made it a robbers’ den.”
Psalm 24:1-10
The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains,
The world, and those who dwell in it.
For He has founded it upon the seas
And established it upon the rivers.
Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
And who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
And has not sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a blessing from the LORD
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face—even Jacob.
Selah.
Lift up your heads, O gates,
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in!
Who is the King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates,
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
That the King of glory may come in!
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
He is the King of glory.
Selah.
2 Chronicles 3:1
Then Solomon
began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah,
where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David
had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Genesis 14:18-20
And Melchizedek
king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God
Most High. He blessed him and said,
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
And blessed be God
Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
He gave him a tenth of all.
2 Samuel 24:24
However, the
king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it
from you for a price, for I will not offer burnt offerings to the LORD my God
which cost me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for
fifty shekels of silver.

construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half
cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.”
Ezekiel 42:15-20
Now when he had
finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faced toward the east and measured it all around. He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred
reeds by the measuring reed. He measured on the north side five
hundred reeds by the measuring reed. On the south side he measured
five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. He turned to the west
side and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. He
measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five
hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane.
Luke 23:27-31
And following
Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were mourning and
lamenting Him. But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of
Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep
for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are
coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never
bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’ Then they will begin to
say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ For
if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is
dry?”
John 5:1-9
After these
things there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went
up to Jerusalem.
Now there is in
Jerusalem by the sheep gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda,
having five porticoes. In these lay a multitude
of those who were sick, blind, lame, and withered, waiting for the moving of
the waters; for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons
into the pool and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring
up of the water, stepped in was made well from whatever disease with which he
was afflicted. A man was there who had been ill
for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and
knew that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to
him, “Do you wish to get well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I
have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I
am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Get
up, pick up your pallet and walk.” Immediately the man became well,
and picked up his pallet and began to walk.
Now it was the Sabbath on that day.
John 19:41

After these
things Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of
Jesus, but a secret one for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might
take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate granted permission. So he came and took
away His body.
John 19:39-40
Nicodemus, who
had first come to Him by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and
aloes, about a hundred pounds weight. So they took
the body of Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as is the
burial custom of the Jews.
Luke 24:1-9
But on the first
day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found
the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they
did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed
about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and
as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the
men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He
is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still
in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered
into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” And
they remembered His words, and returned from the tomb and reported
all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
