Classical Greece

Day 1: Athens
Arrive at Athens Airport, meet and transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Athens
Breakfast. Visit Mars Hill (the Sacred Rock) on top of which is built the Acropolis. Detailed visit to the archaeological complex to include the Acropolis and its Museum, the Parthenon, the Agora etc. Panoramic drive through the Parliament building and the famous squares of Omonia and Syntagma. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum that displays a collection of important findings related to the ancient history of the great Greek Civilization. Back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Athens - Cape Sounion
Breakfast. Leave through the coastal road to Cape Sounion to visit the spectacular Temple of Poseidon, god of the Sea. Return to Athens. Free afternoon to continue discovering the city of Athens and to walk through the famous Plaka and Monasteraki quarters. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 4: Athens - Olympia
Breakfast. Depart to Mycenae with a stop at the famous Canal of Corinth. Visit the archaeological site of Homeric Mycenae and then the ancient and well-conserved theatre of Epidaurus. Continue to Olympia, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Olympia - Delphi
Breakfast. Discover this city in which the Olympic Games were founded in Old Greece. Visit the Temple of Zeus, Temple of Hera, the Stadium and the Museum. In the afternoon, continue to Delphi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6: Delphi - Meteora
Breakfast. Visit the archaeological area of this important city, mainly the Temple of Apollo, the Athenians Treasury, the Stadium, Castalia Spring and the famous circular shaped Doric building. In the afternoon, continue to Kalambaka/Meteora. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7: Meteora - Athens
Breakfast. Visit the beautiful and strange geographical formation of this region, formed by hanging rocks on top of which several Byzantine Monasteries were built between IX and XII centuries. Visit two of those Monasteries. In the afternoon, drive back to Athens. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Athens - Country of origin
Breakfast. Transfer to Athens Airport.
